In school most students find it difficult to prepare food, some can’t cook while some say they seem not to find time for cooking, so that’s why we took the liberty of showing you all How To Prepare Jellof Rice in our volume 2 Students Kitchen

We will be bringing this down according to the student’s standard of living by showing different ways you can prepare jellof rice with limited resources

In School environment students survive against all odds, meat/fish or without meat/fish meal must be served, below we will be listing items for cooking Jellof Rice

Items for cooking Jellof Rice

  • Rice
  • Magi
  • Pepper
  • Crey fish
  • Fish/meat
  • Onion
  • Salt
  • Groundnut oil
  • Tomatoes

Step 1 (with fish/meat)

Boil the meat/fish and spice properly by adding the necessary spices like curry, magi, salt, onion etc, after cooking bring down and keep the water from the spiced meat

Boil your rice for a little while like 5minutess, and then you bring it down to per boil put in a sieve to sieve out

Here is where you make your stew, pour groundnut oil in the empty pot used in boiling the rice and place pot on fire, and then you add tomatoes (Tin tomatoes), add onion, crayfish, pepper, when it fries for like 2minutes, now is the time you remember your spiced meat, pour it inside and allow to boil for a minute

Now pour rice inside and make sure it mixes with the stew and allow to steam then you wait for water to dry, afterwards food is done

Step 2 (without fish/meat)

Here the crayfish serves as fish “**smiles**” you will be boiling your rice for a little while like 5minutes, and then you bring it down to per boil put in a sieve to sieve out

Pour back rice in the pot and add water then you pour red oil and add the necessary spices like salt, magi, onion, pepper especially crayfish then you allow to boil allow to dry
