The Ambrose Ali University Directorate of Foundation runs a two Semester Programme aimed at preparing candidates who could not gain admission into the University through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), but possess the minimum entry requirements, for admission into 100 Level in their respective courses.
The available degree options currently offered through the programme and with the entry requirements are as stated below:
FOUNDATION PROGRAMME IN AGRICULTURE:
The Foundation Programme in Agriculture prepares candidates for entry into any of the following degree options: Agriculture Economics, Animal Science, Crop Science and Soil Science.
Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in the WASC/GCE O’ Level/SSCE/NECO or NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Agricultural Science or Biology at not more than two sittings. A pass in physics is acceptable for candidates with credit in chemistry.
FOUDATION PROGRAMME IN NATURAL SCIENCES
The Foundation Programme in the Sciences prepares candidates for entry into any of the following degree options: Biochemistry, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geo-physics, industrial Chemistry, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics, Statistics and Zoology.
Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit including a credit in English Language and mathematics at not more than two (2) sittings in SSCE/WASC/GCE O’ Level/NECO/NABTEB examination provided that at least three (3) of the credits are in relevant Science subjects. Credit pass in Physics may not be mandatory for Departments of Botany, Zoology and Statistics.
FOUNDATION PROGRAMME IN BASIC MEDICAL SCIENCES
This Programme candidates for entry into the following degree options: B.Sc: Physiology and Medical Laboratory Sciences.
Same as for Natural Sciences in (2) above.
FOUNDATION PROGRAMME IN SCIENCE EDUCATION
The Foundation programme in science Education prepares candidates for entry into any of the following degree option: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.
Five credits at SSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB or its equivalent at not more than two (2) sittings. Requirements vary with subject areas as shown below:
Biology Education: Candidates must possess credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and Biology in addition to two other subjects.
Chemistry Education: Candidates must possess credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and Chemistry in addition to two other subjects.
Mathematics Education: Candidates must possess credit pass in English Language, Mathematics and any other science subjects in addition to two other subjects.
FOUNDATION PROGRAMME IN ENVIRONMENTSL STUDIES
The Foundational Programme in Environmental Studies prepares candidates for entry into the following degree options: Building, Fine and Applied Arts.
BUILDING: Applicants must possess at least, five credit passes in the WASC/GCE O’ Level/SSCE/NECO or NABTEB in Mathematics, English Language, Physics and any other two (2) subjects from Geography, Economics, Arts, Technical Drawings, Biology and Agricultural science.
DURATION OF PROGRAMME
One (1) Academic Session

Candidates are to purchase the transact application PIN (Payment Voucher) of N15, 000.00
(Fifteen thousand Naira) Only from any of the under listed banks Nation Wide.

On the purchase of the eTransact PIN, candidates are to visit the Ambrose Alli University portal at https://aaue.waeup.org/applicants to complete and submit the Foundation Programme online application form.
Please, follow the application instruction on the University website and portal for guidance as any form not properly filled will not be treated.
DURATION OF APPLICATION
The foundation Programme Online Application forms will be available for completion and submission from Monday, 17th June, 2013 to Monday, 26th July, 2013.
i. Technology fee and bank charges will be charged at the point of the eTransact PIN (Payment voucher).
Candidates may be required to sit for a written examination on a date to be made public.
i. Parents, sponsors and candidates are advised to purchase the eTransact PIN. Personally from the designated banks as cases of fraudulent practices in the Admission process will not be entertained.
ii. The serial numbers on the forms would serve as examination numbers where necessary.

PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATES SHOULD NOTE THAT THEY SHALL BE REQUIRED TO REGISTER FOR AND WRITE THE UNIFED TERTIARY MATRICULATION EXAMINATION (UTME) FOR 2014/2015 ADMISSION YEAR.
